The Law and Order franchise, including SVU, the flagship drama, and Organized Crime, is heading towards another season despite dwindling ratings. The latest episode of Organized Crime hit a demo low with 3.1 million viewers and the flagship show also had its second-smallest audience ever. However, all three shows have been renewed for another run. Dick Wolf, the showrunner, expressed gratitude to Universal Television and NBC, as well as the fans who have kept the shows on air for a cumulative 84 seasons. Despite the disappointing ratings news, the future of the franchise looks bright.
