Actor Matthew Perry is getting remembered by several of his co-stars from .
On Saturday,, and the sad news has left fans across the world in mourning. Joining them in paying tribute on social media are various actors who shared the screen with Perry on the beloved sitcom. On the show, Maggie Wheeler played Janice, a love interest for Perry's Chandler Bing, and she shared an image of their characters together in a classic episode. She wrote, "What a loss. The world will miss you Mathew Perry. The joy you brought to so many in your too short lifetime will live on. I feel so very blessed by every creative moment we shared.
"He was lovely to me on Friends and every time I saw him in the decades after," added Paget Brewster, who played Chandler's ex-girlfriend Kathy. "Please read his book. It was his legacy to help. He won't rest in peace though. He's already too busy making everyone laugh up there." Guest star Aisha Tyler also posted, "He had a gentleness and generosity of spirit that was unparalleled. I learned how to tell a joke perfectly just by watching him work. And I will never forget the moment he leaned in, on my first night of taping, to tell me warmly, 'get ready for your life to change.' Rest well, Matthew Perry.
Also paying tribute is Morgan Fairchild, who memorably played Chandler's mother, Nora. She similarly shared a screenshot from one of her most memorable moments with Perry on the series and noted in the caption, "I’m heartbroken about the untimely death of my 'son,' Matthew Perry. The loss of such a brilliant young actor is a shock. I’m sending love & condolences to his friends & family, especially his dad, John Bennett Perry, who I worked with on & ."
was another actor who made a guest appearance as 's Caroline Duffy on , and she shared a touching tribute for Perry.
"Over the years I have stood in awe of [Matthew Perry]," Thompson's post stated. "Way back, when I worked with him when we were both on must see T.V. He was kind, funny and a perfect gentleman. Later my husband [Howie Deutch] made with him and Mathew even forgave him for punking him by coming to our daughters bat mitzvah. He was the best. We are so devastated that he is gone [too] soon. Howie said 'he loss of such a special and talented man who brought joy, laughter and hope to so many, including myself is heartbreaking.
Lloyd added, "Devastating news. Such a wonderful actor and person. As I visited your page, I noticed your last tweet. Rest in peace Matthew Perry."
The creators of -- Marta Kauffman and David Crane, along with executive producer Kevin Bright -- have also since released a statement about Perry's death. The statement reads, "We are shocked and deeply, deeply saddened by our beloved friend Matthew’s passing. It still seems impossible. All we can say is that we feel blessed to have had him as part of our lives.
