Shemar Moore reached out to his fans on Instagram to help renew his show S.W.A.T. for a seventh season. In a post on March 15, Moore asked his followers to vote for the show in a poll conducted by TVLine. Fans responded quickly, expressing their dedication and promising to vote. TVLine's poll closed on March 22, and shortly after, the S.W.A.T. writers' room announced on Instagram that the "fam has spoken" in favor of another season. Although it is unclear if CBS will honor fans' wishes, negotiations for a seventh season are reportedly underway. S.W.A.T. executive producer Shawn Ryan explained in an interview that the decision to renew the show is based on economic factors rather than ratings. As of now, Moore has not provided an update, so fans will have to wait and see if S.W.A.T. will return for another season.
