Chuck Lorre, the creator of "Two and a Half Men," and his ex-wife Arielle Lorre, formerly known as Arielle Mandelson, have reached a settlement in their divorce proceedings. According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Chuck will pay Arielle $5 million as part of their divorce settlement. The payment will be made in two installments: $1 million upon the execution of the ruling and the remaining $4 million within 30 days after Arielle has vacated Chuck's properties. These payments will be tax-free, and Chuck, who is 71 years old, will no longer have to provide spousal support to Arielle, who is 38 years old.

The multimillion-dollar payment will serve as a "buyout" of her spousal support claims, as outlined in their prenuptial agreement. As for their personal belongings, each party will retain custody of their own clothing, jewelry, and property. Additionally, Chuck will keep ownership of the couple's dog, Harvey, although Arielle will have "liberal visitation" rights. The settlement also includes a non-disparagement clause, which prohibits both parties from speaking negatively about each other in any form, whether it be written or verbal, publicly or privately. This includes talk shows, books, and social media. Chuck and Arielle filed for divorce in July 2022, after being married for almost three years. In a statement, they announced their separation with mutual respect and requested privacy during this challenging time. Prior to their marriage, Chuck was married to Paula Smith from 1979 to 1992, and they have two daughters together. He was also married to Karen Witter from 2001 to 2010.
