Percy Weasley, a character in the Harry Potter franchise, begins as a prominent figure in the early films but diminishes in importance as the movies progress. In the books, Percy struggles to assert himself among his numerous and less fortunate siblings. He initially holds the position of Prefect for Gryffindor, guiding first-year students to their dormitory. 

Percy later becomes Head Boy and faces challenges from his mischievous brothers, Fred and George. His ambition and stand-offish nature cause a rift in his family, as he aligns himself with the Ministry of Magic's denial of Lord Voldemort's return.

Percy remains estranged from his family until the Battle of Hogwarts, where he reconciles with them but witnesses the tragic death of his brother, Fred. After the battle, Percy continues working for the Ministry and eventually becomes the Head of the Department of Magical Transportation. He marries and has two daughters, and although he may not possess the same charm as his siblings, he finds his own happiness.

Despite his diminished role in the movies, Percy Weasley's significance to the story and his journey from ambition to reconciliation cannot be overlooked.
