A chihuahua named Stanley went missing in Suffolk and was found 100 miles away in Hertfordshire three months later. His owner, Christie Barr, set up a Facebook page to help track him down. Stanley was found by a vet in St Albans, identified through his microchip. Stanley's sister, Romany Woolnough, launched a campaign to find him and credited social media for spreading awareness. Stanley was reunited with his family after being examined and cared for by the vet. Microchipping dogs has become a legal requirement in the UK since April 2016.
