In Hollywood, rumors and gossip can spread quickly. According to one of these reports, Elizabeth Olsen's sisters, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, were fired from ABC's show in the 1980s by beloved actor and Full House star John Stamos. But why? Because they were acting like little kids.

It is true! Full House's beloved Jesse Katsopolis (John Stamos) lost his cool when the young twins would not stop crying during one of the scene's shoots.

The actor admitted during an episode of the Good Guys podcast that the Olsen twins' constant sobbing was driving him insane and that he had them taken off the show.

The television sitcom Full House (1987–1995) gave Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen their on-screen acting debuts as Michelle Tanner when they were young children.

John Stamos Fired Elizabeth Olsen's Sisters From Full House

The strong bond that Uncle Jesse Katsopolis (John Stamos) had with his niece Michelle Tanner (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen) was one of the special relationships in Full House. However, was the special bond the same off-camera?

During one of the scenes, Stamos discovered that Elizabeth Olsen's sisters were too whiny to work with, so they were abruptly fired during the first season.

Stamos acknowledged the same in 2015 when he said, as reported by People, to the Television Critics Association audience:

"It's sort of true that the Olsen twins cried a lot. It was very difficult to get the shot. So I [said], 'Get them out… !' That is actually 100 percent accurate. They brought in a couple of unattractive redheaded kids. We tried that for a while and that didn't work. [Producers] were like, alright, get the Olsen twins back. And that's the story."

Likewise, the 60-year-old actor revealed during an appearance on Josh Peck's Good Guys podcast that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who famously co-starred in the hit sitcom from 1987 to 1995 as Michelle Tanner, were having a difficult day on set during a memorable season 1 scene. The Never Too Young to Die actor recalled:

"[Dave] and I were changing the baby. We're carrying the baby downstairs, I think I was holding on to their armpits and Dave was holding her little feet. We take her into the kitchen and hosed her down, we put a fan on her, wrapped her up in paper towels. She was screaming."

Did the Olsen Twins Reprise Their Roles in the Full House Sequel?

John Stamos had the opportunity to reprise his role as Jesse Katsopolis on the sitcom revival, Fuller House, even though Elizabeth Olsen's sisters (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen) have since stepped away from acting in favor of successful careers in fashion.

Original cast members of the show, including Dave Coulier, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Andrea Barber, Scott Weinger, and the late Bob Saget, joined the Wedding Wars star.

Stamos revealed on Howard Stern's SiriusXM radio show (via People) that the sisters had been invited to join Netflix's sequel to the ABC television series Full House:

"I did call, I talked to Mary-Kate and I explained kind of what the show was going to be, and told them I would love them to be on there and they decided not to, which I respect."

In contrast to other cast members, the twins declined the opportunity to return for the Netflix adaptation of the popular comedy, Fuller House.

After Full House, the twins co-starred in a number of movies and TV shows, such as Two of a Kind, So Little Time, Holiday in the Sun, and New York Minute. They left acting in the middle of the 2000s and went into fashion design. So, don't count on seeing them on screen anytime soon.
