‘Law & Order: SVU’ Stars’ Height: From Tallest to Shortest

"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" is one of the longest-running TV shows in the US with more than 450 episodes and 20 seasons aired so far.

Although people have been watching most of the actors in the crime drama series since it first aired (September 1999), some of their aspects usually go unnoticed, including one as evident as their height.

Since die-hard fans want to know as much as possible about their favorite celebrities, here's a list with the "Law & Order: SVU" stars' height from tallest to shortest.

Richard Belzer John Munch, played by Richard Belzer, was a member of the "Law & Order" franchise since 1996 as he appeared on four episodes of the original show.

Starting in 1999, Richard became a regular member of the cast in "SVU," but sadly departed in 2016.

In 1985, the actor asked former wrestler Hulk Hogan to demonstrate one of his famous moves on his talk show "Hot Properties."

Hulk did it, and Richard passed out and required stitches on his head. The actor, who is 6′ 1″, sued Hulk for $5 million but later settled out of court.

Christopher Meloni Detective Elliot Stabler, portrayed by Christopher Meloni, was one of the most loved characters in the show.

The actor, who is 6′, left the show after 12 seasons.

Christopher, who is half Italian and half French-Canadian, used to work as a bouncer, a bartender, a personal trainer, and a construction worker before getting his acting debut on the TV show "1st & Ten" in 1989.

Peter Scanavino Just as Christopher Meloni, Peter Scanavino, who has been portraying Detective Dominick Carisi Jr. since 2014, is 6′.

One of the most interesting facts about him is that he has played five different characters on the "Law & Order" franchise.

First, a neighbor on "Trial by Jury" in 2005. Then, Johnny Feist on "Criminal Intent" in the same year.

After that, he portrayed Jim Anderson in the original show in 2009, Johnny Dubcek in "SVU" in 2013 and, finally, Det. Dominick Carisi Jr., starting in 2014.

Ice-T Odafin "Fin" Tutuola, played by Ice-T, has been working on "Special Victims Unit" since its second season in 2000.

Ironically, Ice-T, who is 5′ 11″, plays a police officer in the series after he had a large feud with the Los Angeles Police Department in the past due to one of his songs titled "Cop Killer."

Diane Neal The 5′-10″ actress, best known for portraying Casey Novak in "SVU" from 2003 to 2012, also played a different character in the same show.

It took place on the 10th episode of the third season when Diane Neal took the role of a woman who committed a sexual assault with her female friends to a male stripper.

Tamara TunieJust like Diane and Peter, Tamara Tunie also had a different role in "Law & Order" before becoming the beloved Dr. Melinda Warner, who was with the "SVU" cast from 2000 to 2018. In her case, she played Caroline Bennett in 1996.

Tamara, who is 5′ 9″, is one of the few actors able to work in three different shows simultaneously. It happened in 2002 when she was part of "As the World Turns," "Law & Order: SVU," and "24.

Mariska Hargitay Mariska Hargitay, the main character in "Law & Order: SVU," has been part of the project ever since it was released, playing Olivia Benson.

The actress, who is 5′ 8″, survived a car accident when she was only a child. She and her two brothers were asleep in the back seat of the vehicle when it crashed into a truck. Her mother, Jayne Mansfield, died in that accident.

Kelli Giddish Kelli Giddish, who has been working as Amanda Rollins in the show since 2011, is 5′ 7″. Her character has also appeared in "Chicago Fire" and "Chicago P.D."

Before being cast as Amanda Rollins, the actress appeared in "SVU" in season 8 episode 12 as a rape victim, just like it happened with Tamara, Diane, and Peter.
