Beloved crime drama series "Criminal Minds" has been revived by Paramount+ two years after its original run ended. The show, titled "Criminal Minds: Evolution," will feature several original cast members reprising their roles, including Joe Mantegna, Paget Brewster, Adam Rodriguez, A.J. Cook, Kirsten Vangsness, and Aisha Tyler. However, Matthew Gray Gubler, who played Spencer Reid for the show's entire 15-season run, will not be returning.
Shemar Moore, who portrayed Derek Morgan, and Daniel Henney, who played Matthew Simmons, will also be absent due to other commitments. "Friday Night Lights" star Zach Gilford will join the revival for a season-long arc. The reboot, helmed by original showrunner Erica Messer, will introduce new twists and explore a criminal chase set against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic. The 10-episode season will debut on Thanksgiving, Nov. 24, with new episodes airing weekly until the midseason finale on Dec. 15.
