CBS crime procedural Criminal Minds is set to end after 15 seasons. The show, which follows FBI behavioral profilers, concluded filming on its last episodes and the final season will premiere on CBS on 8 January 2020.
The 15th and final season will be shorter than usual, with the finale airing on 19 February. The decision to hold the final season for a midseason debut was confirmed by CBS Entertainment President Kelly Kahl, who said the scheduling allowed for a "mini season" and avoided repeats of other shows.
Criminal Minds first aired in September 2005 and has seen multiple cast changes over the years. The show's showrunner, Erica Messner, has promised "more serialized storytelling" and "surprising" personal storylines to come in the final season.
