Courteney Cox paid tribute to her late Friends co-star Matthew Perry on Instagram, sharing a heartfelt message and recalling a memorable moment from the sitcom. In her post, Cox expressed her gratitude for the time she spent with Perry and said she missed him every day.
She shared an outtake from a Friends episode, revealing how the romantic relationship between their characters, Monica and Chandler, came about due to the audience's reaction. Cox explained that Chandler and Monica were originally meant to have a one-night fling in London but because of the audience's response, their relationship continued for the remaining six seasons of the show.
In the unaired outtake, Cox followed up the audience's laughter with her own joke and praised Perry's humor and kindness. Perry was found dead in his Los Angeles home at the age of 54, and the cause of death is yet to be determined. Cox's tribute followed a joint statement from the core Friends cast, calling Perry a family member, and a separate tribute from Matt LeBlanc.
