CBS has cancelled NCIS: New Orleans, the third spin-off in the NCIS franchise, after seven seasons. The show, set and filmed in New Orleans, starred Scott Bakula as Special Agent In Charge Dwayne "King" Cassius Pride. Executive producer and star Bakula expressed sadness at ending their "love affair" with the city. Meanwhile, CBS is reportedly developing a new NCIS spin-off based in Hawaii, likely using the production base it already has there from Hawaii Five-0, which ended last April. The network also has the Hawaii-based Magnum P.I. reboot, which could lead to potential crossovers.
