Mayim Bialik faced struggles behind the scenes of The Big Bang Theory despite her successful career resurgence on the show. In 2013, she almost lost her hand in a car accident, forcing her to miss time on set. The series creatively hid her injury, much like they did when Kaley Cuoco suffered a leg injury. 

Bialik also experienced other tough moments, including a bacterial illness caused by emotional stress and a difficult breakup. However, she has since found love again with her current partner, Jonathan Cohen.
