Mayim Bialik, who played Amy Farrah Fowler in the Big Bang Theory series, revealed that she learned to play the harp for the show. However, she admitted that she only learned to play it rudimentarily and that a professional musician was brought in for the episode where Leonard and Penny get married. Bialik said she could play well enough to perform the song "Everybody Hurts" by REM on the harp.
