Galecki did reveal that the two got caught by showrunner Chuck Lorre, but thankful, the secret was still kept intact.
"One time Chuck busted us hiding behind a car in the parking lot. It was after a show ... and we ducked down, like kids hiding from their parents! And he totally busted us, but he was classy about it and didn't say anything. We just didn't want anybody to worry," Galecki recalls.
Ultimately, Johnny and Kaley decided to tell the rest of the cast, and that started with Jim Parsons.
During a trip to New York, , given that it felt as if they were lying to them at some points.
The reveal started with a phone call from Galecki to Parsons. He put the conversation on speakerphone, while declaring his love for Cuoco. Parsons had a hilarious response to the news.
"We call Jim on speaker, and Johnny says, 'I’m in love with Kaley', or 'I really want to be with Kaley', and Jim goes, 'Ah! Does she know?!"
Cuoco recalled the hilarious moment, "I started laughing and yelled, 'Yes, I know! I’m here!' Jim thought Johnny was telling him that he liked me and was going to tell me that. It was the cutest reaction, like, 'Does she know?"
Parsons also remembered the phone call, and the fact that Galecki confirmed it wouldn't get in the way of their work on the show.
"The biggest thing I remember was Johnny saying it won’t get in the way of work, which was nice to say. And honestly, it really didn’t."
Ultimately, Simon Helberg was also told about the couple's newfound relationship.
Simon Helberg had a different reaction to the news. According to Helberg himself, he wasn't surprised at all, and even noticed the flirting on-set. He recalled the reveal:
"Johnny came over to our house to tell me and my wife," he said. "The way I feel about it now is how I felt about it then, which was I found it somewhat hilarious, the amount of gravity that was given to it, because it was not surprising."
Although it was expected, Helberg was happy that things were fine between the two, following their breakup.
"Wait a minute, two actors in a cast? Dating?! Like, hold the front door! I’m outta here! Get Kevin Sussman!' No.I remember being like, '...And?!' And then, 'Is she pregnant?' No."
He continued, "I am happy that it all worked out in the sense that it didn’t throw a huge wrench into the dynamic on set after they broke up, because things can get complicated."
Thankfully for the sake of the show, Cuoco and Galecki broke up on amicable terms and remain close friends today.
