The Big Bang Theory's next spinoff cannot be another prequel like Young Sheldon as it may contradict the canon of both shows. A sequel series could answer plot holes left open by both shows such as what happened to Paige and whether Sheldon reconnected with his siblings later in life. However, a direct sequel risks jeopardizing the happy-ever-after endings of the original characters. The best approach would be a sequel that focuses on the next generation of heroes, providing conflict and updating viewers on the original gang. This could solve the problem of Young Sheldon's focus solely on Sheldon and allow for new characters while also bringing back the fan-favorite antihero.
