We've seen this happen a lot on television. Heck, even the beloved Ross and Rachel admitted to crushing on each other earlier on during Friends behind the scenes. However, the timing was always off between the two considering they had partners.
Cuoco was dealing with the same issue earlier on, as she crushed on her co-star Johnny Galecki. However,
“We dated really early on for almost two years. When we did the pilot, I was crushing so hard on Galecki, but he had a girlfriend,” Cuoco recalled alongside Us.
“We got together and just fell mad for each other for two years, but then we broke up. Luckily, Johnny and I came out of it so brilliantly and we’re closer today than we ever were.”
The actress further revealed, “If I was with him, I would ask him because that came out of nowhere. All of a sudden, these characters were all up on each other.”
After a couple of years quietly dating, the two decided to end things on amicable terms. It was a tough time for both, however, Chuck Lorre decided to break the tension, using a hilarious approach to their on-screen scenes.
It was a sensitive moment for Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki behind the camera, as the two broke up. What made it all that much harder was their working relationship. Getting over one another was a lot harder given the circumstances.
As it turns out, and instead, he decided to have some fun. According to Cuoco, she had a lot more intimate scenes with Galecki following their split.
"When we broke up, obviously it was a little sensitive for a minute," Kaley began. "But I remember those weeks that Chuck had written these episodes where all of a sudden our characters were like sleeping together every other second. And Johnny and I would talk, I’m like, ‘No but I think he did that on purpose.’ I still believe he might’ve ... just to f--- with us. ... Which makes me love him even more."
Great to see Cuoco and Galecki having such a positive reaction and in truth, they handled the break-up on amicable terms, remaining close friends until this very day.
Galecki didn't just turn into an ex, according to Kaley Cuoco, The two managed to stay very close despite the ending of their relationship.
“We’re dear friends, still. Kaley’s not just an ex, she’s a part of my life. I just don’t like to speak about it,” he told magazine at the time. “Not because I’m trying to be enigmatic; I just worry that it will conflict with people’s acceptance of Leonard and Penny. I get the curiosity, but I don’t want to distract from the story.”
Galecki hasn't spoken much about the relationship, though he does have a sense of humor about it. He wrote under Cuoco's IG post during her days with Karl Cook after she captioned, "I don't remember a moment before you entered my life.. what a boring life that must have been! I love you."
Galecki responded by writing, "Um," which got a major laugh from both the fans and Cuoco herself who responded by writing "LOL."
