Netflix has officially announced the greenlight for 'That '90s Show,' a spinoff of the beloved sitcom 'That '70s Show.' The new series will feature Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp reprising their roles as Red Forman and Kitty Forman, who will also serve as executive producers along with the creators Gregg Mettler, Bonnie Turner, Terry Turner, and Lindsay Turner.
Set in 1995 Wisconsin, the show will follow Leia Forman, daughter of Eric and Donna, as she spends the summer with her grandparents and bonds with a new group of Point Place kids. The series promises to bring back the familiar themes of sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll, with guest appearances expected from original cast members like Topher Grace, Laura Prepon, and Ashton Kutcher.
'That '90s Show' has been picked up for 10 episodes and is produced by Marcy Carsey and Tom Werner, the minds behind 'That '70s Show.' After the success of the original series, Netflix is eager to revive the nostalgia that fans have been longing for.
