The Young Sheldon season 6 finale attempts to improve Sheldon's character, but it may hurt the continuity of The Big Bang Theory. In the finale, Sheldon shows genuine concern for his sister and apologizes for getting her in trouble, which is a positive change for the character. However, this conflicts with The Big Bang Theory's depiction of him at the beginning of the series. Young Sheldon needs to decide whether to continue portraying him as annoying or humanize him. George's cheating storyline and death could be used to explain why Sheldon became more skeptical and rude in The Big Bang Theory.
