CBS is preparing for a big crossover event involving three of its NCIS franchises - NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: Hawaii, which will air on January 2, 2023. This will be the first time all three shows are involved in a single event. The plot revolves around the death of a professor who trained team members from the various divisions, with investigators suspecting that it was not suicide. NCIS has been a hit since its debut in 2003, spawning four spinoffs, including NCIS: Hawaii, which debuted in 2021. NBC used a similar strategy for its Law and Order franchise earlier this year.
