NCIS star Michael Weatherly has announced his departure from the show after playing the role of Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo for 13 years. The decision comes after the actor was charged with two counts of DUI, following an alleged speeding incident in Hollywood. Despite the charges, CBS described Weatherly as a valued member of the family and said it would like to explore future projects with him. Weatherly paid tribute to the show's cast, crew and fans on Twitter, describing his time on NCIS as "a fantastic ride".
